Program Description

Event Details

This workshop is for people who have never touched a sewing machine.

Are you interested in repairing or making your clothes or costumes?  The first step is learning how to operate a sewing machine!

In this workshop Fay will show you how to make a patch pocket for utility or decoration.

We will have three sewing machines - Fay will give an introduction and then we'll take turns cycling through and giving the sewing machine a try.

Fay Hsieh-Lewis has been sewing for about 25 years.  She studied fashion design at the Massachusetts College of Art and Design and the School of Fashion Design in Boston.

Please Note:  Attendees should bring a cloth grocery bag on which to sew their patch pocket.
