Exploring the Unseen:” The Art and Science of Digital Photography
with photographer Guy Biechele

Join us for an exploration into the world of digital infrared photography, where art meets science, to reveal an invisible spectrum.

In this talk we will discuss the basics of infrared light and its unique properties. We will discover how standard digital cameras are modified to capture infrared light, and learn how this medium transforms landscapes, portraits, and everyday scenes into dreamlike images.

Practical techniques for capturing and processing infrared photographs, along with artistic insights on how infrared photography enhances textures, highlights contrasts, and brings an ethereal quality to photographs will be covered.

This session is ideal for photographers looking to broaden their creative horizons and gain a deeper understanding of light beyond the visible spectrum.

Free and open to the public.
