Wabi-Sabi Woods
an exhibition by Amy Newland
in the library’s Conference Room during January and February
The Athol Public Library is honored to host artworks by Amy Newland during the months of January and February.
Newland grew up in rural Pennsylvania, where favorite hikes always seemed to end up in the most untamed terrain she could find. Later on, as an artist, these rustic roots drew Newland to wabi-sabi, a Japanese aesthetic that finds beauty in simplicity, imperfection, and impermanence.
Join us for an opening reception on January 6th at 5:00 pm.
Free and open to the public.
Registration is not required.
