Program Description

Event Details

Pomander roughly translates to “apple of perfume.” Pomanders were popular in Europe around the late Middle Ages. They were thought to be protection against infection, pestilence, and disease.

Pomanders have always been seen as a symbol of good luck and health.

Today, pomanders still make for fragrant good luck charms for the New Year, or a gift for someone who is sick and in need of a soothing fragrance. Once dry, a pomander can last for months and can be used as an air freshener.

Free and open to the public.
No need to register - Drop in (while supplies last)!
