The Massachusetts Statewide Summer Library Program is funded by the Friends of the Athol Public Library, the Massachusetts Library System, the Boston Bruins, and the Massachusetts Board of Library Commissioners.

Event Details

Author/Illustrator team Jennifer Welborn and Rozilla MH will be visiting the Athol Public Library to read their picture book, "Dr. Rosie Helps the Animals."

Kids are encouraged to bring a stuffie to this program--after the story, Jennifer will provide kids with a mini-vet kit and lead the group in a hands-on vet clinic, showing the group how to give their stuffies a checkup.

Capacity is determined by the amount of vet kits available. If you have multiple children who are willing to share a kit, please enter multiple names in one registration spot.

Jennifer Welborn is an animal lover and educator with a B.S. degree in wildlife management. She has worked with moose, coyotes, bobcats, and bald eagles.

Rozilla MH is an African American illustrator, writer, and educator with a degree in linguistics. She likes to travel the world.
