HOW TO GET YOUR BOOK INTO AUDIO
Scott Ellis, of Scott Ellis Reads, will present a workshop on audiobooks, how they are produced, and how they can benefit authors. Though this program is tailored to authors, any person interested in audiobooks and their creation is welcome to attend.
From the presenter:
"As an audiobook narrator and retired teacher, I am always looking for ways to engage more people with audiobooks. I am looking forward to being with your group to walk through the entire process of audiobook production: from searching for the right narrator on the right platform, understanding the lingo used in the industry especially as it relates to pricing and royalties, the step by step process of how to vet narrators, what your responsibilities are as the author and answering all your many questions except, “Why is the sky blue?” and “What is the meaning of life?”
Scott Ellis is an award-winning audiobook narrator and producer who has narrated over 90 audiobooks and coached several authors through the production or narration of their first audiobook. Being a retired teacher, Scott loves to teach and instruct people who would like to become narrators and voice actors in everything they need to know to be successful. Scott Ellis Reads, his audiobook production company, started in 2019 and has a team of 15 people that work in narrating, editing, marketing and managing the business.
This will be a hybrid discussion.
