NEW BOOK DISCUSSION GROUP FOR 2025
12 Months 12 Books - Of your choosing!
Have you been curious about joining a book discussion group but haven’t wanted to be required to read a specific title? This might be the group for you!
Starting in January, the Athol Public Library will be participating in the Massachusetts Center for the Book’s 2025 Adult Reading Challenge!
The Massachusetts Center for the Book will suggest a theme for each month - Read any book you like that relates to the theme, and come see us on the Third Thursday to tell us all about it.*
We'll share favorite authors and genres and ideas for what to read next.
We'll meet monthly for light snacks and casual conversation. Registration is not required.
The theme for January is: A book published in or about the year you were born. We’ll have displays and book lists on the second floor of the library if you want help making a choice.
*Not inspired by this month's theme? Read anything and tell us about it, anyway! Not ready to talk? Feel free to attend and just enjoy being in the company of readers. We'll be happy to see you!
This book group will meet in person on the third Thursday of each month at 5:00 pm. Attend each month or drop in as the mood strikes you.
Don’t want to attend in person? We’re also offering an asynchronous email discussion group – here’s how to join [Robin B, please add the details.]
